Each of us has a unique part to play in facing the world from the day we are born. Reading Arun’s memoirs for me reflected that he played more than a unique part at any given moment. He had two options: (1) to step forward to face adverse challenges from the very beginning; or (2) to step back not to do anything. Arun chose 1st option and demonstrated by not passively face the world. His story is of his voice of own unique challenges that he encountered and how he overcame them by navigating the maze of difficulties. These are quality of earnestness. Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, Arun’s account of his life in this bok has had far-reaching effects on people whose lives he touched. I read “Out of My Way Polio!” with reverence and humility.

A true demonstration of a practical life lesson that what stops one is not visible, it’s what’s suppressed inside them. This is an inspirational story of a great man packaged in a broken body. He has managed to use his inside strength to bring hope to many who may feel disadvantaged in anyway or shape by saying all things are possible if you don’t suppress the person inside you.
